At Bishop Heber, we work closely with our primary schools to ensure that every student joining us has a positive and successful transition to secondary school.
We provide new Year 7 students with opportunities to visit our school, meet our fantastic staff and take part in a range of enrichment activities. Year 6 students have the opportunity to visit Bishop Heber at least three times before joining us in September, helping them to become familiar with the school, staff and our high expectations.
To further support a smooth transition, every new student is also visited at their primary school by a member of our pastoral or leadership team. This allows us to get to know each student and ensure they feel confident and prepared for the exciting challenges ahead.
Families considering Bishop Heber High School are welcome to attend the many events showcasing student talent across the year, for example our annual school production, KS3 Arts Celebration Evening and Science Fair.
