Subject Skill, Knowledge and Understanding (SKUs) programmes of learning

As part of our curriculum vision we have provided programmes of study for all students.

Within the school’s curriculum SKUs, we have included the skills, knowledge and understanding, that our students are expected to develop in each year (7 to Upper Sixth). They have been reviewed to ensure they reflect any learning lost due to COVID impact. The purpose of the curriculum maps are to help students and their families support our vision:

Aims

The school’s curriculum aims to:

• Encourage high aspirations and maximise progress and potential
• Support students who have lost learning due to the impact of COVID
• Prepare students so they become responsive and independent individuals who are ready to meet future challenges and the world of work
• Provide students with an entitlement to rewarding learning experiences and essential IT literacy and numeracy skills
• Create opportunities for students to co-operate, embrace diversity and show tolerance respect and fairness
• Promote healthy lifestyles
