Candidate Statement – Mrs Sarah Larkin
Applying for a Parent Governor position is something new, and something I would embrace with commitment and enthusiasm. Being part of the Bishop Heber Exam Invigilator Team for over 2 years has helped me quickly understand how caring and hardworking the students at the school are, each keen to achieve their full potential.
With my youngest daughter due to start this September, and my eldest currently in Year 10, I have a long-term commitment to the school, and I am proud to have already seen so many students thrive and grow in such a stimulating, rewarding and caring environment.
I would welcome the opportunity to bring my experience to the Bishop Heber Governing Body. My background is varied but relevant. I was previously Marketing & Communications Manager at The King’s School, Chester, helping drive forward their strategy and vision. Prior to this I managed my own business for over 10 years, quickly learning to understand strategy, accounts and the commitment of the day to day running of a successful business.
I am flexible and eager to learn, with a firm moral stance and would be delighted to be considered for the position of Parent Governor. If successful, I would work with energy and enthusiasm to help Bishop Heber maintain its high standards and continue to excel into the future.
