Candidate Statement – Mrs Tetyana English
I have always been fascinated with education. To pursue my passion for education I would like to become a parent governor of Bishop Heber High School. I want to help the school to strive and achieve its best. I am grateful for this opportunity to be a part of the local community.
I will be happy to apply the life skills and experience acquired during studying in various countries (Ukraine, Germany, Czech Republic, UK), working as a business developer including sales and marketing in EU, teaching and learning five foreign languages (Ukrainian, German, English, Czech, Dutch. Russian is my mother language), preparing personal development trainings, teaching mathematics in the UK, tutoring and raising children.
I have worked in many schools in Cheshire taking different roles. I am proud to have accomplished a Mathematics in Context Course based on many innovative ways of teaching and learning at Manchester Metropolitan University prior to complete PGCE there. While studying Masters, I explored the impact of Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) on the UK educational system, specifically a new Mastery teaching in mathematics education. I also visited some schools in various countries. Therefore, I am confident that my experience and expertise will bring useful skills especially helping with the strategic planning of the school.
