Bishop Heber Sixth Form is a special place. At an exciting and challenging time in a young person’s life we provide individual attention, a warm and caring environment and the space and support that our students need to grow into happy, successful adults.
We offer over 30 A levels that provide an excellent springboard into University Education.
We combine high quality teaching from experts in their fields with a diverse range of enrichment and extra-curricular activities. Our Pastoral Team is made up of staff with a wealth of experience in advising and supporting Sixth Formers and a deep understanding of the needs and issues of young people in the final years in school.
Our Sixth Form is small enough to be able to care for every student as an individual but large enough to be able to offer a wide range of qualifications and opportunities. We support every student to reach their maximum potential.
The environment of an 11 to 18 school means that the Sixth Form provides leadership to the rest of the school and this in turn gives our students the opportunity to grow in response to this responsibility. The running of the Sixth Form centre is led by the Sixth Form council who also lead the School Council and sit on the governing body. We are especially proud of the example they set to the rest of the school.
Our excellent results in examinations and the success of our students in the wider world speak for themselves. Bishop Heber students consistently achieve amongst the highest A-Level point scores in Cheshire. However, broader aspects of life in the Sixth Form are just as important. Student have the opportunity to produce famous Sixth Form Revues, be involved in mentoring and supporting younger students, as well as showing guests around the school. We expect our students to be ready to respond to a challenge.
