Year 7 Admissions 2010-2011 |
Admissions Year 7 September 2010
Applications for Year 7 places in September 2010 have to be made through your ‘home’ local authority (i.e. where you live and not where your child currently goes to school). This means that if you live in Cheshire West and Chester Council’s administrative area, your application for a Year 7 secondary school place must be made on a Cheshire West and Chester Council’s Application Form. This process can be completed online by going to:
www.cheshirewestandchester.gov.uk
> Education and Learning > School Admissions > Apply Online for School Places
However, to help you further in this process, you can click on, read and/or download:

If you have been unsuccessful with your application for a place at Bishop Heber High School, please contact the school’s Admissions Officer, Mrs. Sally-Ann Hart on 01948 862029 for advice, or, alternatively, download and complete the Appeals form and return to the school marked for her attention - Heber Appeals Form 2010. If you decide to appeal you are strongly advised to seek a place at an alternative school in case your appeal is unsuccessful. However, securing a place at an alternative school will not prejudice your right of appeal for Bishop Heber High School. Historically, in the past 6+ years, NO family that has been placed on the waiting list has had to go to appeal and therefore has been offered a place for their child at Bishop Heber High School by the beginning of July each ear. However, no places can be offered (backfilled) by law until after the 12th April 2010 deadline.
| 12th April 2010 | Closing date for appeal applications |
| By 6th July 2010 | Appeal Hearings for those applications that were submitted on time |
