Macmillan Cancer Support – World’s Biggest Coffee Morning |

Friday 12th October 2007 – Jubilee Hall, Malpas
The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is an event run annually throughout the UK for Macmillan Cancer Support. The money raised from the event goes to Macmillan, which supports cancer sufferers so that they can live a better life. 1 in 3 people will suffer from cancer in their lifetime, they could be anyone any age and it’s hard to find anyone who hasn’t been affected by the disease at some point in their life. Last year Macmillan Coffee Mornings raised over £6 million, for their cause.
A Macmillan Coffee Morning event is being run by the Year 13 Business Studies students as part of their A level course. They could do with the support of as many people as possible, particularly from the local community and the general public around Malpas. The event is being held at the Jubilee Hall, High Street, Malpas and will begin at 8:30am and end at 1:00 pm. Everyone is welcome to attend the event and there will be many stalls including: Virgin Vie Cosmetics and Home, Cake Stall, Bring and Buy, Jars Apart, Bev’s Teds, Phoenix Cards and Macmillan Merchandise. Tickets for the event are on sale in the Bishop Heber High School Library for £2 and include entry and a drink of coffee, tea or fruit juice and biscuits. People can also pay on the door on the day. |
